I wanna say I'd heard them declare yesterday the official "First day of Hurricane Season".  Fall, Winter, Spring, Hurricane?   :-\

Tornado hit Springfield, MA today at about 1630 eastern.....first time there was video of the funnel in the 29 years I've lived out here!  One fatality reported so far.

Nothing where I live, too close to the coast...

Just watched the Springfield tornado form on video (YouTube) over the river. Incredible footage. Trashed the hell out of Springfield, we're told it was an F-3, not an F-1 as originally stated.

Glad you made it through safely.

EVERYONE - stay safe out there.

Tornado just touched down here in Yuba City.

SACRAMENTO, CA - The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down five miles north-northeast of Yuba City around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday. The unseasonably cold system will drop temperatures 15 to 30 degrees cooler-than-average to the valley.

Several inches of snow is likely in the higher elevations of the Sierra with snow levels down to 5000 feet.

Its the end of days, the guy just got his dates wrong. Seriously, the theory is La Nina, cold pacific currents sending cool  moist air inland thats to blame. Who know?. Meanwhile here is So. Fl. we can't buy an inch of rain.

We are having one of the coolest springs here in Phoenix in the 20 years I've been here. Normally it's well into the 100's and even the 110's this time of year. Right now I've got the windows open, and it is 66 degrees outside as I type this. That is unheard of in June. Normally it never cools down below the upper 80's or lower 90's this time of year. So much for "Global Warming".  Bill T.
