WallyWorld Maglite/Ebay clamp review
« on: June 11, 2011, 09:42:29 AM »
So....I bought this little flashlight, a MagLite XL50, at WallyWorld. I don't think that 'demo' button's going to work,:

for under $30

and fixed it, like this:

 to my venerable Ruger 10/22 with the barrel clamp you see (Redbirdgunparts EBay $8.99 -shiipped!)

and damn if it doesn't work GREAT!

We have a coon v. chicken problem and this is an exceptional set up for coons out to 50 yds at night , very bright light for the money easily 100+lumens with a low power and srobe option, Highly recommended.

Not to drift your thread right off the bat (that we EVER do that  ;) ), but that stock is mighty shiny.  And near the lightest walnut I can remember ever seeing...  Got a picture of the rest of the stock?  The little bit shown looks nice.

If it's factory, I'm guessing it's a very early model.  1960's, early 70's?

Mag-lite makes good products to my experience.  ;)

Bic - FYI - the demo button doesn't work.   :o  ::)

Now all you need is one of those cheap red lasers to bolt to the other side of your BARREL and see just how much shot variation you can create what with all the warping of the barrel and all.   ;D

I did always want to get one of those kits that turns a 10/22 into an MG-42. That would show the little 'coons, no?

Happy hunting.

She's actually a mid 1989 gun.  Not nearly as old as I thought.  Usually seems the older they are the nicer looking the wood is.  Musta REALLY went down hill shortly after yours.  I have one thats a '93, and the wood looked so bad I gave the original stock away within a year of buying it.

Cool scope to.  Redfield?

Meanwhile, back at the post, is that $9 light holder big enough to clamp onto a shot gun tube? I know its probably not rated for a 12 gauge, but I just need it for the first shot or two. ;)

I don't think that one will fit a 12 bore FQ, but the guy may have one that will.........."Farewell, Farewell"
