Yep.. It will be archived...and in there until all the Liberals are carrying.  :D
( So THAT means it will be in there forever) LOL
Marshal and I was up until almost 4 this morning. He worked on adding new content.
I went over everything..we listened to everything, plus went on the NRA site and listened to Jim Shepard and a few of the people who were in the court room give their opinions of the days events.
Wish we could take certain things off the NRA site and use them.. but there isn't a way to do it...
Pity, cause some of the content is just phenomenal.
The server is S-L-O-W today, because there are so many listening and using the site....
so we ask that you be patient and Marshal will see what he can do about it.  :)

The D.C. Mayor reminds me of what Orwell wrote in his book Animal Farm;  "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others".  I wonder if he has ever read it?
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

On CSPAN this am:
Paul Helmke and Stephen Halbrook debated yesterday’s Supreme Court oral arguments in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller. The case involved a District of Columbia law banning all handguns and the Second Amendment right to bear arms. They responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.

They DIDN'T respond to telephone calls.
I had about 60 some e-mails this morning telling me that they were trying to get something other than constant ringing or a busy signal to the number. Wonder what the deal was with that? I tried about 10 times and got the same. Did hear a few clicking noises on time.. but have no idea what it was.
( Probably my name came up flashing on the "watch" line and it was added to my folder that I am sure is tucked away)

You guys all did a great job covering this. Thank you!

I just wish I felt better about the outcome.
When Mr. Gura says that the government has every right to ban arms that are not appropriate for civilian use and 'reasonable restrictions' are OK...well, we could be screwed.

The government - be it city, county, state or federal - could say reasonable is a $1000 a month permit for each gun owned.
Once you pass the reasonable tests of background, need, psych, etc. of course.

My prediction for June ruling:
1. The 2nd is recognized as an individual right but the status quo doesn't change one bit because of "resonable" restrictions.
2. States with FOID to buy/possess even a bullet stay the same.
3. DC rewrites their ban but the hoops to jump through are too arduous for anyone to follow.

I hope I'm wrong and SCOTUS actually follows the Constitution and not political claptrap but I'm not holding my breath.
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

I predict a SEVERE upward spike in homicides in the District of Columbia, overwhelmingly justifiable/excusable, followed by the ripple-in-the-pond increase in neighboring states as bad guys search for easier prey. The mainstream media will be horrified! "Normal" human condition in DC will probably take about three years, after which all their citizens will finally rejoin the rest of the nation in the free exercise of Constitutional Rights.

I know many here disagree with me, but, with the exception of the misdemeanor domestic violence disability, I fully support of the regulatory laws that make firearm and ammo possession illegal for the people described on the ATF yellow sheet (ATF F 4473), Felons, illegals, druggies, traitors, fugitives, kids, all those. Thats just me. Hate a well armed felon. Not promoting the agency, just the limits. I believe in preemption, in force.

Mac,

I do and don't agree with some of the 'not allowed'.

Part of me says if you have done your time then you should be allowed fully back into society.  The problem is I believe that our sentencing is WAAAAAAY too light and our parole boards are made up of feel good nannies.

Course I also feel that the war on some dugs is a complete waste.
