Having been in Washington, D.C. for 72 hours and having become involved in the hoopla that is a major news event, a few personal observations seem to be appropriate. Read the article....

Shep's article today somes up my feeling quite well.  Gura could and should have taken a tougher stance.  I think that maybe his ego got in the way and Levy should have presented  the case.

I have a Browning 500G Shotgun, 12 gauge  that I use for my bird hunting and sporting clays.
It is the smoothest shooting shotgun I have ever had. The gas-operated part takes the kick out ..and I can shoot all day long with it and never have a sore shoulder.

 My Browning A-5 12 ga. like to tore my shoulder off after a heavy bird hunt or clays.. so that is when I got the 500 G. They don't make them anymore. I think they only made them for about 3 years. quit around 1993 I think.  I don't know why either.. cause they are awesome if you are going to shoot a lot.
We bought my youngest son one for his 16th birthday, and he is 28 now and still it is his favorite for in the field.
 I had some cycling problems with mine..we sent it in..they worked on it and I haven't had problems since.

I also have a Browning A-5 Shotgun, 20 gauge.. but I haven't shot it in a long time.
We started the kids out with that one.

I also have my deer rifle... which is a 243. I also shoot a 270. Both of course are bolt actions.

My squirrel rifle is a Browning 22 semi-auto. I have shot thousands of rounds through that and put many a squirrel and rabbit on the supper table with it.
 I surprised Marshal with one 3 years ago right after we were married and he loves his . They are just so sweet to shoot.

Like I say, I like all my guns... but  I love my Brownings..

See? Now, don't you feel better? I have the little .22 take down rifle too, along with a Nomad .22 and a HiPower, all bought new at the Navy Exchange in the 60s-70s. Although technology has changed (not necessarily improved), I own none better. Thanks, Mac.

Great Glenn Beck clip.  Despite all the good words from Glenn and Wayne the CNN producers managed to show only video of "Nasty Black Guns" and not beautiful pieces of art from Browning, Weatherby and classic revolvers etc.  I really hate the news media’s subliminal crap!
