That's the specific article.

Hey "smart boy" (that's you, FQ), here's what the SCOTUS thinks of your "do the smart thing" idea:

"The U.S. Supreme Court denied a Mexican man's request for an execution stay in Texas, calling his argument meritless."

I stand by my labeling of you as a tool. To stop being a tool, maybe consider starting with not giving a flying f..k what the hell Mexico thinks? Huh? Start there?

Or the UN or Amnesty International, or Human rights Watch, or the World council of Churches or any of the other communist front organizations.

Hell is too good for his filthy hide.

Good Riddance. Sad Texas doesn't have public hangings anymore.
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Yep, that's me, a tool, a mouth breathing idiot who thinks that maybe a college kid who gets busted in Mexico might like to be given the chance to call our embassy before looking at serious time in a Mexican prison. You are totally correct Path, executing this guy is far, far, more important than protecting the tens of thousands of Americans who go to Mexico every year. I am a fool, a socialist and a hater of the flag and I bow before your righteousness ::). How silly of me to listen to two presidents and allow realpolitik to get in the way of a good self righteous rant. ::)
FQ13 who would apologize for unloading, but I think we both know its fair.Understand that its a cold hard wiorld and we live in in it Path, your precious morals mean diddly and squat. When it comes to IR, you do what works. The rest is BS.

Staying on topic,....how cooperative would the Federalis be to an American who confessed to raping and murdering a young girl IN MEXICO?

Gee,....maybe after they let you cry to the American Embassy, they turn you loose in General Population in the Mexican Prison.....

Trial? We don't need no stinkin' trial,.....

Than the Federalis call the Embassy back and tell them they can have what's left of this dead "gringo"...

Please spare me the semantics,....as Bush screwed up in 05 calling for a new hearing,....just as BHO waited to pander at the last minute....

The scumbag is dead. and a .45ACP to the forehead behind the prison, would have saved a lot of time and trouble.

like 16 years worth.

You're a tool because you cannot see the facts for whatever manifests itself as a bias in your brain. This guy was on death row for 16 years.

Let me repeat that - 16 YEARS!!!!! The Mexicans had ample time to file all sorts of complaints and protests - they didn't so far as I know until the last possible moment when it became apparent Texas was actually - gasp - going to execute this turdball.

And this has nothing to do with my morals, my opinion or anything else about me. The SCOTUS ruled this guy had no case. So I see your 2 Presidents (who, klintoon? Carter 1.0? Carter 2.0 aka bho?) and raise you the SCOTUS, and a Governor.

I particularly like the quote from the SCOTUS: "In a 5-4 decision an hour before the execution, the majority wrote, “We have no authority to stay an execution in light of an 'appeal of the President,' presenting free-ranging assertions of foreign policy consequences, when those assertions come unaccompanied by a persuasive legal claim.”

And killing this raping murderer is realpolitik, just not the kind our one-worldly non-friends wanted, since it comes from us against their will. Reason #2 you're a tool.

Reason #3? You cannot see that this has nothing to do with offing this scumbag. It has everything to do with one-worlders wanting to trash Texas sovereignty, as well as that of the US sovereignty, aided and abetted by none other than bho himself.

So rant all you want, I don't care. Get stupid again and I - or others - will call you on it. But consider this - yet again you demonstrate clearly why your picture is in Ambrose Bierce's Devil's Dictionary right next to the definition of a cynic: "One who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing". You got the facts, but you ain't got a clue.

Seriously. If American college kids are down in old Mexico raping and pillaging, then they deserve to die, too!

Exactly what part of honoring treaty obligations, whether you like it or not, are you having trouble with? Look, the guy is a murdering rapist. So are a thousand other guys. Do you really care if he dies or gets life? I sure as hell don't, and the most useful thing he will ever do on this earth is to be an example that the Vienna convention is honored by the US and we expect others to honor it for our nationals. What part of this is problematic for you? Why do you care if this guy lives or dies? He has sacrificed his right to live by the rape and murder he committed. Now, he belongs to us and we should dispose of him in the most productive manner possible, which in this case means honoring our treaty obligations. What is the problem with this?

The treaty allowed for aliens under arrest or in custody.  He confessed to the crime before he was arrested or in custody so the whole Vienna Convention is a moot point according to a Federal Judge I listened to on the way home from work.

He's dead now, let it go...and I agree, if a US citizen is guilty of serious crimes overseas, let them rot.
