I'm not arguing Peg just curious. What happened or didn't happen? Was there something to the whole Swift Boaters thing? I don't have a dog in this fight, but it does seem a bit odd all the way around.

Well good morning FQ, $1 short and a decade late.
Yes, Kerry faked his Silver Star recommendation.
He got fellow Officers to sign off on it but because he had political influence. But nobody else there at the time was aware of any effective  enemy action.
If you paid attention during that campaign you would have noticed that Kerry brought out 2 or 3 brown nosers to back his story, while the Swift Boat organization had 30 or more Veterans saying he was full of crap.
