Sorry to disappoint, but while I have done some really dumb sh!t over the years .44 mag from a 3 inch barrel, with that small a grip exceeds my "Hold my beer and watch this" standards.

It actually is surprisingly mild in .357. Badger might disagree, but I doubt .44 mag would be much worse. ;) Two things work in your favor with a Bond. The first is that the design is such that with the lower barrel, the recoil is directed straght back into your arm. There is very little muzzle flip on the first shot even with hot SD loads. The second is that its built like a tank. Its a solid block of stainless steel so it has some weight to cushion recoil. I would buy a .44 mag barrel today if they made one. Take that Yogi! ;D

Actually, get the .44 Special.

Just handload the cases to .44 Mag.  You will probably only need 2 cases, max.

The barrel will likely rupture, but it can only happen twice which might be better than shooting them forever in it.   ;D ;D
