The first page is my neighbor's house.  The first on page two is the neighbor directly behind me and all the trees are in my yard.  We've got most of the trees cut up on our yards but still have a few to finish up before we can clear all the debris.  Getting a chipper and splitter and will have a few years firewood to stack.

I see that there was a lot of damage all around but that moral seemed to be high.  

I noticed a lot of folks working to clean up the mess and not many of them looked like government employees...only the ones with the big equipment.

Seems you live in a  neighborhood where folks dig in and and try to take care of themselves.....that probably explains the high moral too.

The wife has mentioned that countless times the last few days.  Probably any other neighborhood in the area, when we were looking for a house, we would have been doing the clean up ourselves.  Every night this week we've done BBQ or pasta for at least 20 people that have been going from house to house getting clean up done.
Couldn't ask for better people.  Now insurance companies on the other hand... >:(

I can't complain too much about my insurance. Knowing full well it's a scam, they have been pretty good to me. That has alot to to with my agent though. Been with him for about 10 years now and he's been really proactive to help me save money. When I asked about flood insurance, since I live close to a river that has been above flood stage for most of the summer. He told me that because I wasn't technically IN the flood plain that I could have all the flood insurance in the world and I still wouldn't be covered. So when I told him that if I saw water in my crawlspace I was burning the house down, he told me to make sure my truck was in the garage so that the house insurance would cover it.  ;D
