Get any replies yet?

Just checked....... That is a big NEGATIVE Ghost Rider....... :-\

My bad for expecting any accountability and class from a local any politician, even if they can't see common sense and logic.

(kinda like FQ),....but at least he replies back.... ::)

Your follow-up letter should include the following:

DAMN Yankees - Go Home & take your liberal BS with you!!!!

Actually there are many who don't know about these liberal policies. I grew up in Palm Beach County & when I visit family there I never worry about carrying - it is Florida & we have a state that allows CCW, so I treat it like I thought all of Florida was - part of a free country. Obviously I was wrong & could have been persecuted under their commie policies. Of course since it is concealed carry, they would never know...

I kinda figured such.  Maybe a followup letter...certified no less.  That might make them feel uncomfortable though.  Used to be, maybe still is, that certified-restricted had to be signed off to the adressee only...if the secretary signed for it that was a 1 year mail fraud charge.  A college prof I had would not make the quarterly payments to the IRS back in the 70's..then he got garnished by the jerks so he went to the library (pre-internet) and looked up some IRS bigwigs name and sent him a letter citing how it wasn't legal to require quarterly payments, etc.  Anyway, the secretary signed for it and before leaving the post office he filed a complaint...in less than a week after the USPO showed up at IRS with the complaint he had is money back.

I'm just saying...there's ways to make sure they read our letters.

Only the Mayor replied:

Dear Mr. Thomas Watchorn,
I understand the principals upon which this country is based, including the second amendment.
A lot, and I am serious, a lot of residents have told me they do not like this change in our local ordinances and they are concerned for their children in our parks.
All the best,
Mayor Gold

What did I miss? ILL. is the only one left right??

Vermont does not, nor have they ever required a license to carry concealed, open or otherwise.  You can do whatever you want, wherever you want even as a visitor with the exception of Federal lands I believe.

A nit to pick I know but...

If they were truely concerned for their children's safety, They would be armed, and trained, to protect their children. This is something government can not do.

There are several states that do not place such restrictions on their FBI approved, law abiding citizens with out the dangers he alleges.
Unless of course the high percentage of minorities in Fla. makes them more prone to criminal violence.
But that would be racist.
On the other hand, tool or not, at least he had the decency to reply.

Anyone can sign for certified mail. All it does is provide proof of delivery to the address, not an individual.

NOT "certified" but  "Certified-Restricted".  Big difference 35 years ago.
