Two Boston police officers responding to a report of gunshots being fired Thursday night in Dorchester spun out and crashed into a building at 208 Dudley St.
At about 11:45, police received a report of shots fired near the intersection of Adams and Dubois, a police report said.
On their way to the scene, the two officers drove their cruiser around another police vehicle to avoid a collision, only to spin out and collide with the building, the report said.
The two officers were transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The building sustained some damage, while the cruiser received significant front-end damage.
