Did that on Labor Day, taking two of my girls to the range.  Little lady hiding in the shadows in the cross walk, didn't see her until the shade hit my windshield which was about 6" from her, at 10 mph I couldn't do anything....
She's out of the hospital and now the lawyers and insurance companies are involved... puts yesterday in perspective, you know?

True!  I would almost rather be the guy attacked by the bear than the guy that shot him, almost.   

My little brother just moved over to the west side of Montana, junior pastor up in Whitefish.  My cousin and her husband hunt quite a bit up there too and I haven't heard any reports of Grizzlies, although this one was small and mistaken for a black bear.  Tom Gresham had a report of a lady up in Alaska running with her headphones in that was killed by a bear earlier this year too.  Time to go to the gun show! Need a 45-70 guide gun or a Marlin .444 I think....
