I've had both and I never found any difference between them.

There is an issue with quality of components.. Usually doesn't amount to much....There is barrel Flex as illustrated:

The last link gets to the "nitty gritty" of the differences...

FWIW....I miss the $99.00 Norinco days,.... :-\  I would still be getting the Cosmoline off of them,....but it's an AK... 8)

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Remember 922r before putting furniture on it unless you keep the thumbhole design.

I have a MAK91 w/bipod that works well but I HATE the POS thumbhole stock. One of these days it is going to get converted with enough American parts to make it like it should be - a pistol grip weapon.
Parts count, counts. Check the link below....

A 2X6 with a hole drilled through it. That was why I sold mine, that was back before the after market craze.

I have Tapco T6 stock ,intrafuse forend. SAW pistol grip, and forward pistol grip ready to go on this (not mine) MAK90.
I'm bored and confused trying to understand what else SIMPLY needs to be changed/added to make it 922 compliant - anyone got the dumbass Cliffs notes version? - I'd be eternally grateful :)
