Dude, perhaps you haven't been reading my posts. Rioting is part of the lab requirement for my classes. Although I do prefer it be for a halfway decent cause. This? its just sad.

It's both FQ.

Athletes are not the brightest bulbs in the rack but they keep the dollars flowing into the coffers of the monster schools like Penn State.  Then, the not so bright student body idolizes these dim bulbs to mythical proportion.

I'm not doubting the mechanics of how and why this happens. What I have a hard time with is how these kids, who are supposedly receiving a "higher education", can't distinguish between the importance of one over the other. Any 7th grader should have that much decency and common sense.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I heard a comment from Jim Braude, a resident socialist douche bag here in the Northeast.  He suggested that Penn State held back with the information until Paterno had the win record in the NCAA.

Remember Bill, these kids are from a generation who were informed by the President that a blow job wasn't really sex!  Most may not have the decency, common sense and respect that us old guys were taught!

I don't follow sports so I haven't been paying much attention to this but after reading this thread I have a few thoughts.

1 Scholastic problems get reported to School officials, Criminal activity gets reported to Cops, it's why we pay them.
2 The Constitution guarantees the right of "peaceable assembly", rioters should be beaten or shot.

And that is where Paterno, Spanier and the rest of the management went bad!  It took nearly 15 years for this to come to light, Paterno knew about it nearly 10 years ago!
