Well, my de rigueur "Enemy At The Gates" embed didn't work. Lets try something a bit more exotic, and better. There are no subtitles, but the lesson is clear. Tricked out M-4 with doo-dads and high end optics? $1900. Moisin Nagant witha  POS combloc scope and two buddies who know how to shoot? Priceless. ;D

A 2LT. or a Captain with an idea or a compass are the most deadly things I have dealt with. Thank God the Lt. I worked for was a former NCO and he let me run the whole show in Iraq. His job was to keep the good idea fairy (Captain) out of my hair and smoke screen him until I got the job done. He even kept the idiot 1SG. we had out of my hair most of the time. These two idiots wanted me to give two E-5s that are the worst NCOs I have ever met excellent ratings on their NCOER evaluations. Even after I showed them all the negative counseling statements and the poor performance incidents the 1SG still wanted me to give them excellent ratings. I advised the Captain that some of the stuff they did they should be reduced in rank over. He finally agreed with me and told the 1SG. to let it go. The 1SG and I still do not get along and I will be glad to go back to my old unit. So much for trying to fix a messed up unit.

His pets from his unit. Thank God I will be reporting back to my old unit in Dec. At least if they get promoted in his unit they will only get his troops hurt not mine. He wonders why I came from the number 1 ranked battalion in our field in U.S. Army and his is ranked 12th. Out of 12 battalions in our field.
