He's been a very good guy lately and he deserves it. It worked out for me too ya know, it was cheaper than the 50, and he had a perpetual hard on for a week after we ordered it!    ;D ;D ;D

Hi;

     Bought my standard  M1A back in '76. It came with a fiberglass stock and have been wanting to get a wood stock for it since I had 1 with wood in Boot Camp. Just have not got around to buying the stock. Sighted it in up to the 500yd line at PI and still bring it out once in a while. This spring, a Nephew and his Daughter and Step Daughter will have a chance to shoot it and other Semi's in the inventory.

     The "Come Back Kid" is being appreciated by the newer members of the Military over in Iraq and Afganistan. You will enjoy yours also.

TW, those are M14's...ain't the little button above the trigger, behind the bolt carrier the "selective fire" switch?

The guy in the first pic has the "happy button" if needed....The cool thing is the "if it ain't broke" mindset that someone in the military realized, and sent those rifles to the sandbox to help get the job done...

They still reach out and send those "sheetheads" to their goats,...er,,,uh,,,virgins... ;D

Very nice Red.  Sounds like he sure is a lucky man in more ways than one.

But why does he get an M1A and all we get are those awful motivational poster pictures? ???

     Timothy, That M14 in the pic is set up for auto fire   but  is missing the selector switch. This is/looks like a trigger and would attach to the round protrution you see in the pic. As the M14 is shown in the pic - it is set up for semi firing.In Boot Camp my 1 DI had a switch and let some of us fire our rifles on full auto when at the range. The switches were a "controlled" item. Authorization had to be given to have 1 on your person.

I had the pleasure of shooting one back in the 70's at my base in Northern California.  It was selective fire and a real hoot!  We also had about 1000 rounds of free ammo from the base armory to waste!
