Hi, my name is Gene... and I am a gun addict.

Or something along those lines.  Anyway, I just signed up today so I guess that makes me the FNG for a while.  I am a full time Private Investigator here in Sunny(?) California.  I am also a Firearms Instructor and part owner of Trident Firearms Academy, LLC (www.tridentfirearms.com) .  We teach local civilian classes and LEO classes around the country.  The next couple coming up are in Panama City, FL and Odessa, TX.  I would love to see some of the other readers there, or here for that matter.

My partner and the General Operations Director at Trident is Dan Gray, he is a retired SGT (30 years and 2 months as he likes to say) and a current instructor for the NRA/LEAD.  He may, rarely, post here under the name Trident Firearms, but it will usually be me.

C'ya 'round.

Geno

Glad to have you aboard, Gene.......we look forward to your perspective and input.
One thing about this place that is different from many other forums is that (whether we always agree or not) we welcome input from all angles.

Thank you PelLeg - I wanted to add just a little to your tag line if I may...

"The loudest sound in a gunfight is 'click'."  My interpretation of this theory is "The two loudest sounds from a gun are a 'click' when it is supposed to go 'boom' and a 'BOOM' when it is supposed to go 'click'.

Glad to have you here Gene, glad to see some "normal folks" from Kalifornia.

For m25's brother from Texas,..... Carlton, welcome, you must be the "mellow" brother... ;)

What took you so long to get here?

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I was enthused and anxious to build my arsenal as well.  I ended up with 10 to 12 different calibers and while I now have a lot of ammo, I do not have very much for any one caliber.  If you frequently shoot at a range, talk to others and try before buying, if you can.  I'm not sure that the technique would have limited my selection; however, it now sounds logical. Hey, did you hear about the new gun on the market........  javascript:void(0);

My name is Chris and I am from Nashville, TN.  I am relatively new to guns and shooting, although I have always been fascinated with guns.  I grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore then when to college at the University of Tennessee.  I was not until I started going to the range with friends from work, then bam I was hooked.  In the last 2 months I have tripled my arsenal and have a long list of more that I want.

I look forward to getting a lot of insight here.
