Hello everyone,
I have been visiting this site for a few months now and finally registered. I am new to civilian shooting and bought 2 brand new firearms in the last year. I live in the Washington State and would love to find more places to shoot around here. I have served my time in the Army and did a couple of tours over there. I have military training and combat experience, but would love to go to Gunsite whenever I can save enough. I carry a Glock 19 everyday and I have a Kimber Desert Warrior that I am breaking in. Thank you to everyone that post s on here I have learned a lot. And if anyone has any info on good shooting areas in my area or knows or some good concealed carry classes without the price or trip south let me know. Thanks again
Did we win???

Welcome to a great forum.  Remember one of the most basic rules here is to rag on Michael whenever possible.  :D

You got a couple of NICE side arms!  ;D

Hello all,

I thought it was time for me to actually register at this site. I live in the Marietta, GA area and have been a gun owner for sixteen years. My next purchase will be an M1A. I just don't know which make or model it will be yet.

Regards,

WarEagle

My name is Ken. I currently live in NC. I have been around guns and shooting my whole life. Great site. Looking foward to making some new friends.

I friend sent me the following e-mail which I would like to share with everyone.

Interesting, and this is only one State...............

If this doesn't open your eyes nothing will!

From the L. A. Times

1.       40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

 2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

 3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

 4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on  Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

 5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

 6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

 7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

 8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

 9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

  10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.

(There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County. )

(All 10 of the above are from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida , and New York) results from immigration.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Send copies of this letter to at least two other people .  100 would be even better

Hi folks.  I just signed up and saw this thread.  Now to the intro!  I'm in the process of retiring from the army after 23 years.  Most of that time, to include now, has been with the 1st Special Forces Group first as a weapons NCO (MOS 18B) then as an Ops & Intel NCO (MOS 18F).  Most of 2006 was spent in Iraq and the team made it home without a scratch.  You'd think I'd have a "black rifle" collection, but I only have one: an Olympic Arms AR I built from a kit back around 1990.  I was also a sniper instructor, but (shame on me) don't own a precision long range rifle.  I did send my two hunting rifles to Hill Country Rifles and they turned them into 1/2 MOA shooters at a moderate price.  They held the guns for me while I was in Iraq and did a great job all around.  Lately my interests run more to double shotguns and double rifles.  I also own a left handed Randall .45 that I bought new in the 80s and it took years to find spare magazines for it.

Back in my early years on the Internet I recall corresponding with Michael via the AOL writers’ forum.  The only shooting article I wrote was in Guns Magazine back in 1996, though I was a regular contributor to a general interest military magazine until 2000.  Hopefully, I'll get back to writing after I retire and I look forward to lurking around this forum.
