Haz,
Get the Ruger .30 cal Blackhawk as a present to yourself Monday.  Ruger isn't making them anymore and the few I've come across recently have gone up in price for well worn ones.  Then get the M1 carbine.  Saw somewhere recently  that someone was suppose to be getting a bunch, but can't remember who.  Maybe Century.  Might have to jump on that 03-A3 at that price though.  Sure hate when those "targets of opportunity" come along when the funds are short or your saving and planning for something else.  Had that happen a couple of years ago when I was looking at a Winchester M1 carbine from an individual.  He couldn't decide how much he wanted for it and on the way home the local gun shop had a Smith Corona A3-03 for cheap.

     1.  Wouldn't be suprised to see Ruger come out with a Blackhawk in .327 Federal magnum maybe in a .32/.327/32-20 convertible.  I'd get that one quick.
     2.  Ruger charger
     3.  Rger Redhawk 4 inch .45 Colt

The Ruger catalog has a .480 round, I guess to get  a mine is bigger than yours (.460) type of contest.
Article said similiar to a 44 Magnum recoil. How big is big for a handgun?

Is it marketing hype? I can't imagine the ballistics are that much different, but as far as hunting, here in NC you cannot go deer hunting with a .22 WMR. Even if a head shot would drop it like a bad habit.

Sooner or later I WILL Buy a Smith & Wesson 649 in .357, and a KAHR PM45. I probably will get a Puma .454 Carbine one of these days. Those are the ones that Are actually really likely. When I can afford it, I'm going to get the 649 first. I'll probably end up with a Charter Arms Bulldog before its over. And Possibly a Kimber Compact Stainless II.

I would love to find a S&W 4506. Any help would be much appreciated.
I will be getting a taurus 24/7 full size .45 to go with my CCH weapon (a taurus millenium in .45)
Anybody know if the larger 24/7 magazine will function in the millenium?

Mr. .45, too bad you arent in NC. Lawman's Safety Supply has 6 or 7, 4506 police trade-ins, a couple of which were fired very little. $299. Not bad for a serious combat gun.

Hey Haz,
One can never have too many M1 Carbines. So that is where you should start.

The M1 Carbines are fun little guns to shoot and now is the time to get one before the Democrats take over in November and ban them. Same with ARs.

One of the clubs I used to belong to runs service rifle matches at 200 yards, but they let the Carbine shooters shoot at 100 yards. As a left handed shooter I opt for the Carbine -- it doesn't matter though the AR 15 guys still out shoot us. But we have more fun because we are not as serious.
