I read something shortly after the Zimmerman/Martin event: Most murders in this nation are black on black, followed by 6%* being black on white and 2%* being white on black. Nowhere did I hear about hispanic on black - which is what this case is.
* these percentages are my best memory, so I will accept correction, but please do not ream me a new one. I would actually like to be refreshed on the exact numbers.
I also recall several years ago when Bill Cosby took to the stage. He pulled out his signature stool, and donning his cardigan and comfortable shoes (a black Mr. Rogers in appearance and message) scolded black males for not caring for the children they fathered, and scolded the black community for not taking their responsibilities seriously. He was torn apart in the media for being racist and out of touch. A person addressing his own race and community, a community he worked to better himself within, and they told him he did not understand.
