Great thread and info. I've had the Ruger tactical mini-30 on my want list and had planned to be over Christmas spending and paying for suppressors enough by next summer to get one, this was going to be my next gun purchase. I'll be optimistic and plan to own one by mid-summer.

The Mini 30 has gone crazy price wise in the last week since Sandy hook. I ahve seen a couple on Gunbroker bring 2X dollars from 10 days ago. Both new and used Minis. Better get some mags now while you can, if you can find some.

The mini 30 makes a great hog gun. I changed the rear sight on my gun with a adjustable Tech sight, and a hogue overmold stock. The 7.62x39 hits hard and recoil is minimal.
