Many, maybe even most, do text while driving.
Gun owners on the other hand are more sensible.
Hell, even psychotics don't shoot and text.

Idiot! Guns are dangerous tools. Just like cars, chainsaws, outboards and motorbikes. Should they all be banned and restricted to "licensed state approved professionals"? Please! If I'm wearing pants, odds are good I'm carrying. I'm no more a hazard to myself and others than when I get behind the wheel. Sadly, I have to have a state approved license to carry. How does this differ from my similarly state approved license to drive? Again, Idiot!

I'm not sure if I agree, because you are saying that we should have access to weapons, or if you are pushing for the restrictive licensing theory  :-\

How long have I been on this board? You think I'm against CCW?
 I'm saying that if you are going to compare guns to cars, both dangerous tools, shouldn't you accept that a license to drive is no different than a license to carry? Personally, I don't feel you should need a license to carry, but assuming you do, why am I a hazard with a gun, but OK behind the wheel? That's my point.

Zero license to carry, zero permit to carry, zero registration of firearms, zero registration of weapons!

The Second Amendment is my permit to purchase, carry, use, have, own, transfer weapons PERIOD

Ninth Amendment:  The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The right to drive, although not specifically protected by and amendment as is the right to keep and bear arms, is just much an inalienable right.

I would guess the founding fathers didn't include it because they could not conceive that the licensing of the primary means of personal transportation was anything but ludicrous.

It doesn't draw much attention because the the licensing to drive is not fraught with the chance of abuse.

As interpreted and in the late 20th century.  As recent as 1975 it was still considered a privilege that could be regulated and denied.  I blame money grubbing sharks (attorneys) putting repeat drunk drivers (murderers) back behind the wheel for this change.  Based on this, how can they us our Constitutional protections?
