And what the hell did I do? And why did I become the bad guy for pointing out the fact that the average Russian didn't give a damn about Stalin, but was just pissed about being invaded? Sorry if you felt like I was taking a shot Timothy, because I wasn't. Just saying that in in any given war, you have to accept that the folks defending their homes have a certain moral high ground. I mean most wars in history have been fought between bastard X and bastard Y and the only real real difference to the guys on the front was that guys who were defending their homes were that much more motivated. It was foul fighting vile on the Russian front as fr as Hitler and Stalin were concerned. Its just that the people of a nation tend to drop ideology and get annoyed at the foriegn guys with guns.

Academia can always find an excuse for communism.
They thought Hitler was a great guy when he signed the non aggression pact.
To the point that they did everything they could to keep the US not only out of the war but to prevent aid to England.

Here's a news flash, it was a video about a private soldier. Who cares what side she fought on? French, (well, she fought so scratch that), Finnish, German, Russian Dutch, would it make a difference? You should know better than anyone that a grunt fights for their country and their unit (not in that order) and a rifleman's accomplishment's on the battlefield transcend ideology, as history is not a freaking morality play. Its a lot easier to debate someone who is actually dealing with your positions rather than someone who assumes that you represent something they don't like.
