Yah problem is the GLOCK's have been gone for 2 years give or take... my problem is with the SR9c I presently own - it does not have finger groves... just a narrow width grip.

Front to back on the SR9c is fine... the left to right is the issue - but will take a feel when I can find one.

If I recall high on the list was the Walther PPQ or PPS - though the S is only what 7 rounds.... hell then I'd just get another 6 shot revolver and be done with it as I can get better fitting grips (or more to MY liking) on a revolver in the first place.

BAH it's a hell of a racket this hobby of ours.

Last night I changed the grip backstrap on my SA XDS. On the XD forum a majority have stated that they're more accurate with the smaller backstrap (the gun comes with the larger backstrap).

It's a little counter-intuitive on such a small gun, but the larger piece has more of a hump than a full width increase, and it may actually make a difference.

I'm going to find out on my first range trip this weekend.

I know one gun that has a pretty large grip. The Sig P2022 comes with two slip-on grips, and the second one is pretty damn fat. If you know someone with that gun you might try it.

jaybet - I just happened to grab a stack of older Guns and Ammo magazines to leave in the bathroom library and there was a decent article on the 2022... it may be a good fit I was thinking also - that or the SIG P250 -

Last SIG I had was a P229 in .40 but sold/traded it for the G17 Gen 2 ..... so early 90's was the last time I owned a SIG.

Yah - that's on the list now too.

As a side note, I put blood doner (< < < Click link) grip tape around the "U" shape on the upper part of the grip - the area where the upper part of my strong hand wraps around the pistol.

If nothing else my attention is off the empty space of the palm area - and is aware of the added grip where my hand is actually touching the grip -

Look around online. You can pick up a P2022 in either 9mm or 40 for well under 400 bucks NEW. I've got a 9mm with about 7000 rounds through it and it's a peach.

The only other thought on changing the grip on teh SR9c is try to build up the side areas with grip tape and then cover the while area with a thin rubber grip band (one with no finger grooves) to keep it secure. Seems like a lot of fooling around. It might be easier to have some plastic insert installed in your palm to take up the space... I am sure you could get medical coverage to pay for it :)

HK P30
Replaceable back strap and lateral panels.

All yours for the low low introductory price of $1,100

I don't know of a single HK dealer any where near me, and to tell the truth I hear horror stories of how HK ignores the civilian market.

But still.... the replaceable lateral panels were what I was looking for in my original post.

You might give one of these products a try.  Considerably cheaper than a K&K P30 (which has a horrendous stock DA trigger).

If you buy the HK check to see if there is an RFID chip in the grip.
