Fight or lie down and surrender.
« on: December 30, 2012, 08:16:18 PM »
As I write this I know I am not speaking to every member of this forum, most of you get it and are very involved. But I feel it needs to be said and will hopefully reach some who are not as involved as they should be.

The time has come to truly take a stand for your freedom! If you think that what is going to happen with gun control legislation is not going to directly affect you, you are sadly mistaken. If successful it will be big, and only the beginning.  Keep in mind that the legislation of today is not the same as when Clinton passed the ban, today they use wide reaching broad terminology and hand it to a bunch of regulators that create every restriction they can under the umbrella of the broad language.

I realize that most here are already engaged in the fight to protect our Freedom, but if you are not, now is the time to wake up! And those who are need to become more involved!

Call Congressmen, Senators, and not just your own. Get others to be more involved, start petitions, letters, and support the NRA. Do everything you can do! The other side has plenty of people willing to get off the couch and work against us!

It’s no time to sit on the sidelines! After the New Year the fight begins, and you will have to choose, fight or lie down and surrender.

You can either fight for your guns now, or you can fight with them later.

For most of us this is no easy task. There is a genuine fear that writing will lead to persecution. Despite what we are told there is little doubt that we all are on some kind of list. I, for one, have been writing several congressional members on the national levels and my local Maryland representatives at the state level. I am a lifetime NRA member and still donate yearly above and beyond.

Some perspective is an order here though to really summon the rally call. De-arming the general public means putting the control of all our futures into the hands of political entities. We will no longer be able to pose a threat to the system.

Look st the current state of our system and you can see this was a progression. Our two( most popular) parties are maintained by mainstream views and rarely do they seem to hold true to what the party meant. We are provided either a bad candidate or a worse candidate and expected to vote within the party. Most of us have gone independent because our views have failed to be present in our national politics.

So by removing our ability to rebel against the military they solidify their change to making real changes to our government without real opposition. Rarely does. Democracy take eventually weapons upon itself, it has simply yet to be seen. This Is because todays democracy is so left facing it looks to attain peace rough abundance of law and regulation.

Our fathers battled against this progression which is why a democratic REPUBLIC was born. To maintain a certain level of freedom to its people to always also us to rebel should the need arise. Th federal systems defeats this and wished its subjects to be disarmed. Which is where we are going.

So with all that said, this is not just a weapons debate but the final step in making our people into subjects. To which we bow to our king and council. We will gladly pay taxes against everything so we aren't put in jail because we have to...

ain't nobody going to fight with them later

90% will turn in
10% will bury
Have your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet scoured, 60 rounds powder and ball and be ready to march at a minute's warning.

FIFY
The other 1% obey the law because it is not an excessive hassle to do so.
But they will do as they damn well please regardless.
Most are probably pot heads.

That is exactly where they want you to be, and is one of the biggest problems we have. Far too many have succumbed to fear, maybe if I just keep my mouth shut and hide everything will be alright. It’s called intimidation and has been a leftist tool for hundreds of years. If we succumb to that we have already lost. I have found there are far too many people willing to sit down and shut up as a short term protection effort, at the price of selling out their children and the future of Freedom in our country. Remember signing the Declaration of Independence was a death sentence for those who signed, many of which lost everything including their families, and they gave We the People the responsibility to preserve the Freedom that they gave everything for.

I would hope that is not true, if it is we deserve to be disarmed slaves.

I believe that 2A is there for when they try and take it away! "O"no and all the other self proclaimed leaders are whittling away our Constitutional Rights right before our very eyes and most American's are to busy watching the voice, listening to CNN and shopping at the mall :'( I would rather die standing than live on my knees - I plan to fight!

The most basic duties of the President of the United States is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, as laid out in Article II Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution. I believe "O"no is failing miserably on this as other Presidents have. Some of the President's duties are explicitly laid out in the Constitution, while other duties are inherent.

The Second amendment to the United States Constitution provides:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.
The history of the Second Amendment indicates that its purposes were to secure to each individual the right to keep and bear arms so that he could protect his absolute individual rights as well as carry out his obligation to assist in the common defense. It is evident that the framers of the Constitution did not intend to limit the right to keep and bear arms to a formal military body or organized militia, but intended to provide for an "unorganized" armed citizenry prepared to assist in the common defense against a foreign invader or a domestic tyrant our Gov.. This concept of an unorganized, armed citizenry clearly recognized the right, and moreover the duty, to keep and bear arms in an individual capacity.
“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.  On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.”  H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

According to the writings of the Founding Fathers in "The Federalist" and their private correspondence, they are fairly explicit that the purpose of the 2nd Amendment is the other throw of any administration that fails to follow and uphold the Constitution.

Not exactly the ratio. Methinks more along the lines of history.
During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists. They were in turn actively supported by perhaps 10% of the population. In addition to these revolutionaries were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the population sided with the King (by the end of the war there were actually more Americans fighting FOR the King than there were in the field against him) and the final third took no side, blew with the wind and took what came.

The Doctrine of the Three Percent.
The Three Percent are the folks the Founders counted on to save the Republic when everyone else abandoned it.

And we will.
There will be no more free Wacos and no more free Katrinas.
For we are the Three Percent.
We will not disarm.
You cannot convince us.
You cannot intimidate us.
You can try to kill us, if you think you can.
But remember, we’ll shoot back .
We are not going away.
We are not backing up another inch.
And there are THREE MILLION OF US. (est.)
Your move, Mr. Wannabe Tyrant.

Your move.

The Three Percent today are gun owners who will not disarm, will not compromise and will no longer back up at the passage of the next gun control act. Three Percenters say quite explicitly that we will not obey any futher circumscription of our traditional liberties and will defend ourselves if attacked. We intend to maintain our God-given natural rights to liberty and property, and that means most especially the right to keep and bear arms. Thus, we are committed to the restoration of the Founders' Republic, and are willing to fight, die and, if forced by any would-be oppressor, to kill in the defense of ourselves and the Constitution that we all took an oath to uphold against enemies foreign and domestic.

We are the people that the collectivists who now control the government should leave alone if they wish to continue unfettered oxygen consumption. We are the Three Percent. Attempt to further oppress us at your peril. To put it bluntly, leave us the hell alone. Or, if you feel froggy, go ahead AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
