Neat but akward.  Looks kinda hard to hit anything accurately.. unless your the designated supressing fire guy. ;D
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

A friend of mine does a trick that works about the same, with a piece of heavy twine. Tie it to the bolt handle of an ak47, loop it around the trigger guard and trigger and then tie it to the rear sling mount. Now take up the slack on the twine until the trigger is pulled, everytime the bolt slams home, it pulls the trigger. You have to work at getting the twine length right so your hand does not have to come very far off the stock, but it does allow for a proper cheek weld.

Have you ever seen John Brownings full auto lever action, works on the same principle. No I'm not making this up, I don't know that he ever built one, but he sure did draw it up.

During the Cuban revolution they had something called a "Havana Winchester" not sure how they worked but they were full auto.

I'm trying to figure out why the Atchison Accelerator was ruled a machinegun, while this device is not. Looks like the same physical principles to me. I have tried several of each type and it is all about trigger finesse. Hope "the Curse" does not descend on them too.

It looks like an extra trigger spring to me. I've seen lots of videos of guys bump-firing with no extra attachments at all but this does seem faster. I'm going to try bump-firing some of my guns this summer. I have to go out in the woods because the range won't even let you shoot "rapid fire". Single aimed shots only.

That name Atchison sounds very familiar but it's the Akins Accelerator. It's illegal because you only have to pull the trigger one time and the gun does everything else. Therefore; Full-Auto. When you bump fire you have to physically pull the gun against your trigger finger for each shot. Semi-Auto. I don't know how Akins got that approved in the first place but he's suing now. I personally think machineguns are great and would like to have a bunch of them, but I agree with ATF for once in my life that this would be a post-1986 machinegun and illegal.

Atchisson was the original design name for the current production AA-12 fully automatic magazine-fed shotgun.

And the Atchisson slew many a goblin in the service of Carl Lyons, the leader of Able Team.
