he went past the sign, rather its legal or not, thats a bs move on his part.  I know many of you don't agree.   what if it was a no smoking sign and he lit up next too you?   there are states where that is not illegal.

i am a big fan of Tx 3006 law.    for me its a respect thing.  I don't care if they said no hats, or no bibles or even no blacks.  They asked you not to bring it there, he did.  Thats a huge sign of disrespect for me.

TAB, Did you miss the information that signs in Florida do not carry the weight of law?  He did nothing wrong by legally carrying past the sign.  Like I said before, I do it everyday, and I have the statute memorized:

Can anyone cite the statute that says you can carry in a Post Office?

I didn't have an answer but I did read the statute.  It's rather ambiguous in nature and difficult to be comfortable with the wording.

Any insight from those more knowledgeable would be appreciated!

What it says is that if you carry legally you can carry there.  Just like most legislation it is STUPID.

Our legal system is restrictive - We can do anything, and laws put limits on it.  However, most gun laws are the reverse.  We have allowed our rights to be restricted so badly that we now have laws that say we can.  Sadly we accept it, and we play the game.  TAB and his feeling that legal carry is bad, because the carrier walked past a sign with no legal weight is an example of what is wrong with many Americans.
