Having spent the majority of my shooting time at matches around fellow competitors I was shock, almost scared, when my son came down for the 4th of July and showed me his guns. A Ruger Single Six and his 1911 sans front sight. He had to show me how he could twirl his Single Action-AWWWEEE! Muzzle control was not his strong suit, I chastised him but at 20 he still knows everything.

I took them out to my gun club to send some rounds down range, sighting in my dad's 308 and 270 after swapping scopes and to put some more rounds through my XDs. Paranoia set in and I made sure my son was aware of his barrel but I wish I had heard of the "Light Saber" analogy. All was good though, even managed to ring the 24" gong at 200 yards with my XDM off a rest a few times out of a mag of my own reloads.
