alfsauve... keep the G34...try a set of non fiber optic sights... I use a Heinie slant pro rear, but had to go to a Dawson front sight to get enough height to lower point of impact... mine is .240" tall, .090" wide ... if you have your load worked out, you can fine tune the front height by gluing a piece of flat plastic (like formica ) to cover part of the teeth on a wide mill file, rest the formica on the rear sight as a guide, and carefully file the front sight... this gives a parallel cut, with a slight bevel...
the added sight radius of the G34 will become more valuable when you shoot longer range targets... at Ft Benning 3 gun, it was not uncommon for a 30+ yard plate shot...
if you are not already shooting 147 grain bullets, give them a try... they shoot half the group size in my G34 compared to 115s....
