I am #17 (out of 259) in Civilian class.  THE ONLY ONE who CLEANED the targets (no penalty time)!!!  Only 4 Master class shooters did the same, but they shot in other divisions. (thankfully)

Bummer is a guy named Mason Murphy out shot me by 6 points to claim high Super-Senior.  Maybe I'll win a gun in the random drawing.  (just what I need another gun.

Nice job Alf! 8)
Good luck at Nationals.

I picked up the new sights. $20-40 cheaper at Glockmeister than anywhere else I looked.
Ran some rounds through the gun yesterday to get them dialed in. Now I need to decide on what bullet/load this G34 likes and set it for that.

The new springs and polish of everything turned out pretty well. The factory "-" connector didn't quite feel right. I don't know, it just didn't seem lighter. Replaced it with a different factory minus connector and it feels good.  Like the trigger now a lot.

Sounds good Kelly.  Since I can shoot the G17 well, there's no real need to have the G34, other than for indoor competition where re-entry is suppose to be with a different model.   Once I get my 500 in indoor then the G34 goes.

And I forgot to say, they shot much faster.   MUCH Faster.

HEY!   I got $50 in the random drawing.   Pays for the match.  I've got to find a way to practice with real plates.  I need my time to fall under 20 seconds.

River Bend Ballistic Challenge 2016

I finally broke 20 seconds in the plates, 17.62.  All runs under 5 seconds with no make ups.  And in my warm up, Competition Division I did 23.52 with only three make ups.   YEAH-h-h-h-h-h.

I also scored a new personal best in the Glock M of 20.7.  Too bad these were in different divisions.

The rest of the stages just fell apart.  My overall score was 92.23 in Am Civilian and 86.29 in Competition.   I'll probably be about 40th in the standings.

I'm in the process of changing from 124gr bullets to 147gr, though that's not to blame.  I used commercial ammo this match, American Eagle, because I didn't have time to work up my on loads.  Shoots well enough, I just need to find out why sometimes I have great targets and sometimes not-so-great.  More practice.

Congrats overall!

More practice is most likely the need.  Especially controlling the six inches between your ears.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

Preliminary scores are posted.

Unless there are some major shifts, I finished 25th our of 293 in Amateur Civilian Division.   Still a page one shooter.  Yeah-h-h-h-h-h-h,  Also 43rd out of 224 against the Master class shooters in the Competition Division.

Three goals accomplished.

1) Under 20 seconds in plates!  (That's less than 5 seconds for each run.)

2) Beat the perennial Super Senior Mason Murphy.  He and his wife are really nice people, but he has always beat me by a few points.  This was my turn.   And I beat him in both Amateur and Competition Divisions.

3)  Top Super Senior!   Finally.

Now next goal is to get my 25yd shooting improved so that I can post an overall score of less than 80.
