I wouldn't hold to that Tom.  A lot changed when the airport and New Jersey screwed the traveler a year and a half ago.

Like I said, we don't want to be a test case, but I'm not going to stop traveling because of the one in a thousand chance of what if I am involved in an accident with my car or my plane gets diverted or delayed somewhere.

By the way, you are sounding more like TAB than pre computer crash Tom.  Was your issue a power surge that hit while you were typing  ???

Well, if you do travel in an area that is gun unfriendly don't make a video of what you're doing and post it on YouTube....

Don't worry Solus, if I'm traveling in a "gun unfriendly" area CNN will supply the video.   ;D

I not sure  how it works but what if you don't claim you gun case. Wouldn't they send it to the final destination or do you think they would pull it and turn it over to the cops.

1Buckshot,

In today's world of people worrying about $1.50 on a $385 airfare, they book connecting flights with different airlines.  If you book with let's say United, for all legs of the trip, they will check your bags through, and you will not even be able to gain access to them during a layover.  The problem comes when you take Delta from A to B, United from B to C and Floyd's from C to D.  In this case you need to calm your bags and recheck.  That is where you get in trouble with unexpected delays.

m58 I am working as a consultant now.   often do to tight time frames or airlines just not flying from A to B  atleast one out of every 10 flights I have to use more then one airline.  It sucks, but thats part of life.

Just be sure your magazines don't hold more than 15 rounds.  I doubt that anyone outside of Boulder/Denver will give a rat's rear-end but I wouldn't want to be the test case.

TAB,

They have this really neat option called Non-Stop.  If you are worth paying to fly in, you are worth the few dollars more for a non-stop flight.

I was wondering about that. I was thinking they would be ok to bring as long as I didn't sell, trade it give them away since y'all can still have the ones you own. Most of my pistol mags are 15, but all long gun mags are over that. Hmmmmm

How does the federal law work when you're making a giant loop? Technically, I'm on my way home as soon as I leave it; it'll just be two weeks before I make it back.
