Ammo (heavy sigh)
« on: January 24, 2014, 06:51:02 PM »

Still hanging on to what I have!  Can't replace it...  Me thinks there's some stinkiosity at the gubernatorial level!

Might think about buying the dies to let the kid load me some...

My two locale stores "small town Montana" have full shelves and there seams to be a fair amount of ammo on the web stores I visit . I'm not sure what's happing at your location, maybe just more hoarders near by.

Haven't seen much ammo here in ny, and now with the ny(un)safe act mandating that all ammo has to be bought in person at a brick & mortar store and get a background check(on hold because the state police aren't set up for it yet and the FEDS told King andy he can't use the NICS system for ammo) we can't mail order any in,So far it doesn't apply to components so I've been ordering in as much as I can afford to stock up.

Where I am .22lr is still a rare commodity.  Places sell it as fast as they get it in and you have guys waiting around for the truck to bring it in.  Most other ammo can be found with out much of an issue now.

Just about to submit a 15,000 bullet order to X-treme (free shipping-no sales tax).  I have about enough primers but might have to pick up a 16 more pounds of powder.

I'm sorry, ammo problem?

With the exception of .22lr which is a problem.

My local WallyWorld has had 45, 40 and 22lr - 4 box limit on 22lr.
9mm is still far and few but I just internet order what I need. In free America you can still do that...

Just shot some 9mm Federal HST 147gr+p through the G19 today, along with some Federal 115gr+p+.
No case bulges on any of it.  :)

Except for 22lr, most things are readily available. There are still times when Walmart looks mostly bare, but they are farting fewer and farther between.

Haven't stopped into my local guy yet this month but I've been to four WW's and it's all the same.  We have about thirty WW within half hour drive of where we live and I suspect it's a similar empty case syndrome.

The local GOAL chapter has been suggesting that the governor and AG have something to do with it but who knows...

No mail order in the peoples republic...
