I have to watch. Not the game, but the commercials. I do work in TV/Video after all.
First, it's expected that Budwieser and Coca Cola have great commercials (not the Bud lite one/Swarchenager one-blah). You can't beat the Clysdales or the I-Want-To-Teach-The-World-To-Sing genre. Beyond those, I think the knock-it-out-of-the-park was VW with the wings and rainbows. Well done, well delivered. Makes me want to go look at their product. Cheerios was in there as well. Besides being the cutest little girl, the "puppy" tie-in cemented it with those who had watched the Puppy Bowl early. Well played placement. And Radio Shack, "the 80's want their store back", was also cute. "ALF" was in that commercial. And I got to hand it T-Mobil and T-bow for their no-contract thing. Did make for a good connection.
All the rest of the commercials were flat and left you wondering or wanting.
And on a local note, the Ga Lottery ran one of their commercials during the local time slot at about 8pm EST which featured MY SON. Real kick think, even if it is only local, that my son was in a Super Bowl commercial. Of course, its just a regular commercial and they've been playing it for a week now.
Oh the game? Sorry about that Peyton. I think Denver now has the record for the most SB losses at 5. Of course there are teams who would just be happy to make it to the super bowl, so give'm their due. They just got out-played, out-coached on a given Sunday.
My son the white rapper.
