You can't go wrong with a Glock. One warning you will want more.

Oh,
That way leads to the Dark Side....

Well since Hawkfish hasn't put in the official "G" blessing, I'll take the shot of Glock cheer, and wish you the best with the G17.

Post some pics and enjoy.

Someone asked what I wanted it for.  Well the short and long of it is I want a high capacity,  full frame,  Reliable, 9mm.  I am not going to carry concealed,  thats what my snubbie is for.  I had narrowed it down to the PX4 and the Glock.  I have a PX4 in .40 and I absolutely love it.  Over 1,000 rounds with never a hiccup,  feels great in the hand,  and comes apart in about 5 seconds.  Since I already have the Beretta I figured the Glock would be a nice addition and has a good reputation.

I would actually disagree. My 26 is a joy to shoot, and recoil is hardly even noticeable.....  My wife even loves to shoot it.

New ad campaign for Glocks.  "And women like them too!"   ;D

Lot of people swear by Glocks.  My only problem and proverbial 2ยข is that I don't like the trigger, the sights and they are butt ugly.

I agree with Pathfinder ... get a SIG.  Hey!  I hear SIG has a new promotion.  Buy any "P" series pistol, SIG rifle or any three SIG magazines and get a date with the SIG spokesmodel ...

If that is your use then you've got the right gun.  Certainly there are others that fit the bill but if you are leaning towards the glock then you wont be sorry.  Get it and have fun!
I've got two guns, one for each of ya!

Lucas,
Whatever you are comfortable with and can shoot accuratly and safely is the gun to have.  We're just a passionate bunch!
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington
