Well, my son and I went to the "Real Wilmington Gun Show", that's how its advertised, and many vendors including my local gun shop were all there; and I caved....

Just traded in to my local gun shop, at the show, for a pistol was a "Pristine" Winchester Model 94AE 30-30.
They had just put a tag on it for $299.00.

The previous owner was filling out his paperwork and was an "older" gent, and said it was a gift from his son-in-law, but he had bad or botched knee surgery, and doesn't hunt anymore.
He never shot it, his son-in-law never shot it, and there isn't a mark on it. (Except fingerprints). The price for the show was discounted by $100-150, and if nobody bought it it would sell for more back at the gun shop.
QUESTION: What does the AE stand for? I know its a newer production, and may be one of the last ones made before Win. closed.
Of course, I defer to the knowledge here for an answer.

I might need Gun Buyer's Anon.

But I have always loved the Win 94. and I thought it was a great deal.
Oh, and the ammo deals were not bad either so I made the boy complain about carrying a couple hundred more rounds to the truck. Geeeeez Dad, this is heavy, do you need this much? You already got plenty,....

etc,....
Hell, when I'm gone he's going to get them anyway....
Thanks
