As I remember, who ever wins the electoral votes gets the presidency, electoral trumps popular vote.  BHO is scary.  I don't care about color, I would vote for a black person if I felt they would be the right one for the country.  Condi would get my vote.   Already looking for hiding place for my black gun in case BHO wins the election.  Can you imagine BHO with Democratic congress and idiots like Pelozi and Murtha as Speakers of House and Senate.  Scary.

Electoral more tham 'trumps' the popular vote.  The popular vote counts for nothing at all.

No doubt there will be controversy with this election just as there was with '00/'04.  We can only hope it may start a movement for a Constitutional Convention to straighten this mess out.
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

NH is going to be accepting Hugo Chavez's fuel.

Strange bedfellows indeed,. but I can make homemade wine and run a Dillon press, if someone makes coffee, I can cook too.

All I'll say is  BRING COFFEE and ammo  Grin

The article pretty much tells the whole story, Fred Fuller is the local oil company here in Laconia.I have friends who may have to choose between Heating oil or gas to get to work.
I can make coffee !
Desert Marine, We have room in NH, it's cold but small enough to keep it free. (I hope)

Keep in mind that the Electoral College is "supposed" to negate the large population states (Kali & New York) from being the deciding factor in the popular vote.

All the same ... count me in.  I will grab my M1A and coffee grinder and head to NH.

I am not in favor of trashing the electoral college. Hitlery was screaming to disband it after 2000, never did one thing about it. After her ranting, I bought a T-shirt that read "Property of the Physical Education Dept. - Electoral College". Give it a minute . . . .   ;)

The College is a protection not only to keep the high population states from controlling everything, but also to keep the mob at bay, keep a "populist" from railroading the high population states in the country. With b-ho on the prowl, and his "divine" presence on the cover of most of the popular so-called "news" magazines, we may well have to be giving thanks yet again for the College if he wins the popular vote but not the College votes.

And although the popular vote does not elect the President, it does - according to each states' rules - elect the electors to the College.

<edit> PS: I'd prefer Wyoming to NH, even to Cuba. Sorry, just the way it is.

Thanks for the invite.  I roast and grind my own coffee, so that is part of my contribution.  Be good to hear new sea stories.  I thought I was going to get a chance for a vacation in Cuba in 62 but Ruskies backed down.  Oh well.
