Scary Thought
« on: July 20, 2008, 03:41:06 PM »
Since the President in not elected by popular vote. (we the common people have no say).
IF BHO wins the electorial vote he would be the president. BUT would would happen if McCain wins the popular vote?
                                                NOW REVERSE IT
McCain wins the electorial vote he would be the president. But BHO wins the popular vote?
Big change in the way we vote?   Civil war?  TSHTF?
I forgot to compensate for the natural rotation of the earth.

That scenario has happened before.  Lost the popular vote but won.

JJ,

I think that particular fact only matters to extremists on either side.  Most of America couldn't care less about his color, only his policies.

I have to agree with Hazcat, I'd vote for Thomas Sowell or Condi Rice in a NY minute. But if B -Ho gets elected (which I doubt )  I will probably wind up living in the woods as a "Bandit".

Instead of Robin Hood, it would be Tom n' Hood.  And I think NH would be a better place for it too!

Civil unrest after the election is not likely ... no matter which way it turns.

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

Strange bedfellows indeed,. but I can make homemade wine and run a Dillon press, if someone makes coffee, I can cook too.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
