Poll - How often do you buy firearms

I know that times are tough right now, but I was just wondering how often you all get the luxury of having a new toy.

I placed my vote in the 2-4 range, however this varies from year to year.  The last two years I managed to suppress the "itch" for a new toy, but I've more than made up for it this year.  So far I've purchased 4 guns in '08 and plan to buy at least 2 more.  Part of this is due to it being an election year (dang liberals), but its mostly just because I cannot walk into a gun shop without finding something I like want need.

Less than 1 a year currently. Not that I can't find any I want I just can't buy them as often as I used to. The wants list keeps getting longer but the have list is at a standstill.It doesn't help none of the guns I want are cheap.

Got the AR last year and the oldest got an M&P this year but that willl be it for a while.  Home repairs and a family trip to Orlando coming up puts my next one on hold.  Oh to win the lottery

I usually buy twice a year, but that's not as good as you think....because it's even-Steven with wifey. If I get a new one, SHE gets a new one, etc. So I'm buying for two.
The good part of that is community property laws, so they're really all mine.

A few years ago I went through a series of purchases close to one another, but as my collection grew, I've come to the point where I have all of the thpes guns I really want.  I may come upon one that I "have to have," but for now I've pretty much leveled out.   As a friend of mine says when asked how many guns he has, "I have all that I need, but not as many as I want."

Right now anytime I have extra money I seem to fritter it away on clothing, food and shelter.
I could buy more often if I would trade something off, but once I have a gun there develops a special reason why I have to keep it.
My last purchase was a Taurus 605, before that was a Ruger Single Six, and before that was a Bond Arms Derringer in .45/.410.
That covers the last four years.

I'm in the 4 or more class, but I trade alot too.  I have all I need, but am always looking for deals, if it's a good buy, I'll get it anyway.  Now that I'm competing again, I do want another 8 shot revolver, one for open and one for limited. I do want to get a .50 cal before the election.
