We've been reducing the number of calibers we have so we can have more ammunition on hand.  .357 rifles and pistols,  .22 rifles and pistols, 20 gauge shotguns.  So I've got to sell my Mossberg pump 12 gauge and my Winchester M94 30-30, then buy the wife a new .357 handgun, probably a Charter Arms stainless steel target mag pug, and me a .22 Ruger single action, a 20 gauge double coach gun, and maybe a .357 single action.  Then I'll stop, honest, well maybe.

The last two years have been a little more prolific than previous.  I have sold off stuff I don't shoot, isn't accurate, doesn't have sentimental value and buying some quality guns.  Last year was 3 and this year will probably shape up to be 3 or 4.

Will work for ammo

4 or more per year. I'm at 3 so far and it's only July. Of course, they are eclectic - Ruger 10/22, Marlin 336-RC - E s/n, first model year. How could I pass it up? Huh, I ask you? And, made same year I was born, so it had to join the collection.

OK where was I? Oh, right, also an AR-lower for the future 6.8. Damn, I forgot, it is 4 - I got the Ruger LCP too.

I'd better go count things in the safe to make sure I covered all of them.   ;D

It all depends on who is asking... when my wife says " Is that a new gun?", I go "that old thing, I've had it for ever..."  ;)

I usually don't "plan" to buy a gun, It just finds me. I have a soft spot for Ruger 3 screw Blackhawks and Single Sixes. If I find one at a good price, I buy it. Or if I'm offered a good deal on a gun I'll pick it up, I bought the Bond Derringer that way, Who here could pass up a Bond for $50?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Due to accelerated concerns about the future of "certain types" of firearms, I bought "several more" than I normally would have this year.

Sig 556 in Feb., (love it),

M+P .40 with 4, 15 rd. mags(also love it, Spring rebate was nice)

, Walther PPK/S,(cause it was a deal),

as well as a Kel-Tec P3AT .380 (easy to carry everyday)

, EAA Witness .40 with 4 high cap mags(wonderfinish is nice),

more mags for my 1911, ambi-safety as well, (Wilson Combat and Bar-Sto & Videcki "tweaks", She'd get jealous if ignored,, ;))

P-Mags from Midwayusa.com(cheaper than my local area),

Another Rem 870(slightly used for "adding" some extra's,.. 8)),

A Zhongzhou Machine Works 12 ga. Double-Barreled "Coach's Gun with 2 triggers and hammers,." Kinda like bartenders would pull out from under the bar, or ride stagecoach with,....I know it's a "cheapy", but man its a blast to shoot, (everyone loves it)///

Between optics, mags, "tweaks", and  as we all know AMMO,... I learned from my grandfather to "save for a rainy day", and can still buy the name brand pork and beans for dinner,........(kidding)...(well not really),.... ;D

Of course I still have wish list, Puma(thanks Ksail), a Para(just because, Kimber would work), an XCR in 7.62x39, a "G" pistol Mod 34 or there bouts,, etc,..

Great Post, now I have it out of my system and have rationalized it beyond my wife's tolerance,.... :P

All charitable contributions of surplus firearm "stuff" can be made to the "twyacht charity firearm fund", "I'll take it"

PS,,, Need a deal on a Safe,... ::)  Have a couple planned before The Barack Inauguration,...... (hopefully not)....

Thank you saltydog, now I feel better.. ;)

Not to many lately.  Maybe 1 or two a year, but none so far this year.  Probably need to stock up on those evil high capacity magazines and evil black rifles.  Money got really tight with two kids in college, and three cars to keep up with gas prices that have doubled.
