Details please!
Sorry about the thread drift, MB......well, not really...it IS what we do best.

#1 thing is eliminate sodas. Drink more water. I still drink sweet tea, but cut way back on the "Georgia Standard" sugar content (one cup per gallon instead of two, so a 12 oz glass is around 70 calories) and only drink a couple of glasses per day.
#2 thing is very limited potatoes.... NO fries, NO chips....I still eat the occasional baked potato or potato salad (my wife makes killer potato salad, so I gotta have that from time to time).
#3 thing was switching to whole wheat bread for sandwiches.
Smaller portions of stuff like meat, and make up the difference with vegetables.
An example of some of the things we eat (wife is doing the same thing, not so much a 'diet' as just making a decision to eat better, and has lost 16 lbs):
-Grilled chicken breast or lean burger (cooked on a George Foreman or cast iron skillet with no oil) on wheat.
-Stir fry chicken or steak (lean sirloin, a 12oz split between us) with loads of onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms (low calorie, big flavor).... we found a low sodium soy substitute that tastes really good and sometimes we throw in some of our homemade salsa.
-Smoked chicken quarter with green beans and cabbage
-Salad with grilled chicken breast.... you can load it up with onion, tomato, peppers....we use low sugar/low fat/low sodium dressings (I was amazed at how much better tasting low-cal salad dressing is now compared to what it used to be)
Apples or oranges between meals.
We still eat some of the stuff we've always eat, just less frequently. For example: I'll get an Arby's roast beef sandwich, but leave off the fries..... still eat chilli dogs from a local joint, just no fries.... 6" Subway turkey sandwich on Italian or wheat (only about 350 calories)....and every couple weeks we still go to an area seafood restaurant we like.
And, the Wednesday night shows ROCK, MB!!!!
