Obama tears up, Pres. BHO gets emotional
« on: January 05, 2016, 06:38:19 PM »
Pres. BHO is so predictable it is sickening.  When in the presence of foreign dignitaries he is submissive, when speaking to groups it is informal and folksy, when out of the White House it is casual Friday everyday, and when he talks about guns he tears up and needs to dab the canthus of his eye - His favorite is the outer canthus of the right eye, but he does go for them both.

I am trying to decide if I want to track down news on this tonight, or just drink heavy.  I would hate to waste good bourbon on politics, and I don't want to drink cheap stuff.

If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

The various blogs were already debunking his several lies yesterday morning.
Saw a news story this AM, S&W stock is through the roof and again gun sales are surging.
There's America's answer to liberal BS.

just a question for the Constitutional Scholar in Charge... how is a person that is not required to show a picture ID to vote, required to have one to fill out a 4473?

This is a question I often wonder why we don't bring this up in the Courts.  I often make this point when discussing "reasonable and common sense" with the anti's.  I tell them that I will be willing to discuss these restrictions as soon as they are willing to apply them to all Rights that are protected by the Constitution.  Of course, they go down the list of guns being designed to kill; voting, speech, etc. are not dangerous and do not kill; and that no right is unrestricted, like we can't yell fire in a crowded theater (must be a Brady talking point, because they all use the same wording), as if we don't have laws that say we can't fire a gun in public without good cause.

I just can't bring myself to watch........too much like watching a bad magic act.

It's just a re-run of the same old rhetoric, aimed a duping the sheep into thinking that "Big Daddy Gubmint" knows best.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

URGENCY:    Here's what Emily Miller posted yesterday about Obama's URGENT call for more gun control.

Quote
Pres. Obama said gun control executive orders respond to "urgency." But homicide by firearm has DECREASED since Obama has been in office. FBI stats from 9,199 to 8,124.

He starts his by saying the majority of citizens, including a  majority of gun owners, want more restrictions on guns.

But later, he says he can't get them through congress because they are worried about losing votes...seems if he was pushing the restrictions the majority of everyone wants, the way to get those votes would be to support them.

So, either the majority don't want restrictions or the restrictions he is pushing in no way come close to what the majority does want....or both.
