Remain calm, act civil, work the system, and live to play on our field next January.

Too late for that.

M58 I didn't say you said give in.
I said that you , like the liberals, want to keep doing the same things that have never worked before. .

Where did I say that Tom?  I just said that we need to act like adults.  Conservatives have struggled with that for many years.

You keep talking about being polite to America hating assholes who advocate rioting, looting, racism and killing cops.
That's just plain stupid.
If you don't get that then you'll never get and further comment is a waste of my time.

Read my earlier comment:  It isn't about the person we are dealing with as much as it is about the perception and attitude developed by the on looker.  Those we are fighting are excellent about making us look like irrational, hate mongers, who can't tell time or tie our shoes without a nursemaid.  We can fight the fight while using multi syllable words that consist of more than four letters, and wouldn't require a long string of beeps with broadcast over the airwaves.

What have we gained by ranting that any Pres. BHO nominee will not get a chance and that we will stop the process?  What have we lost in terms of respect by ranting to any microphone that we will not even consider the Pres. doing his job as detailed in the Constitution?

On another note, and a prime chance for a calm clear minded commentator:

Pres. BHO is not going to attend the funeral on Saturday.  In the release it was not stated why, and when questioned they did not know what he had planned.

A good chance to use our inside voice and discuss the importance of showing respect for the life that was lived and for the family left behind.  Time to lead by example and participate in the funeral process for an American leader.

What do you think Trump would say if asked to comment on Obama not attending Scalia's funeral? He would no doubt call Obama an asshole, or words to that effect. The harsher his ripping of Obama, the higher his poll numbers would climb. If there is one thing that can be said for certain about this election, is the harsher liberals are treated by Republicans, the more the public likes it. This whole concept of "being gentlemanly" to Democrats, goes over like a turd in a punch bowl. Republicans are sick and tired of being shit on for being nice to Democrats. It doesn't work, and it never will.

As much as I am overly sensitive to how the community at large looks at gun owners, I have to agree that in a political sense, tactics are and maybe should be changing. No matter what tact we take, Dems simply lie, call us names, and threaten our culture with a bigotry of beliefs that is every bit as vehement as the racial bigotry they profess to hate.
No matter how we try to frame a conversation, they call us a name and tell us to go f*** ourselves. So, maybe it is time to dismiss them as ignorant, bigoted morons. Things are already ugly, it's just that we've been on the receiving end way too often.

Very brief report, more to come..

This is a game changer...

Not much else matters to gun owners.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/19/us/politics/scalias-death-offers-best-chance-in-a-generation-to-reshape-supreme-court.html

Quote
Professor Ginsburg said a court dominated by liberals could reshape Second Amendment rights without overruling the Heller decision and its 2010 successor, McDonald v. Chicago.

“If we got a fifth liberal on the court, the pendulum would swing pretty quickly on gun control,” he said. “I expect that we’d see a major shift in the kind of gun control laws that get approved by the court. Look for enhanced registration requirements as the first step.”

Justice Scalia wrote the majority opinion in Heller, and he grew frustrated by what he saw as lower courts’ lawless refusal to follow it by sustaining all manner of gun control laws.

A new Obama appointee would make successful Second Amendment challenges to gun control laws even less likely,
