As a matter of fact...yes they were.
Both had flak jackets (requiring head shots to neutralize), NVG's, flash-bangs, 9mm MP5's with spare ammo, tear gas, 3 flashlights, 4 pocket knives...........and spurs.

Badass turkeys................

Yep.

I call that added value. Who knew you could get so much cool stuff just by whacking a few birds? ;D

Yep, we'll put on a feast.....this past year was a good hunting season. We have two freezers full of deer, duck, goose, hog, and now turkey. No doves this year. didn't get to go dove hunting.

I guess as long as we can shoot, we can eat.   ;)

Cool. You can only hunt turkey with a bow around here. Crazy laws where I live that state you cannot hunt deer with a rifle but you can shoot a coyote with one. Hunting land is getting hard to find around here and just lost the place I hunt due to a divorce.  ???

Peg,

Is that invitation for a deer hunt still open?  I would love to take a couple of days and get some meat.  When is the season there?

Shoot yeah.
Rifle season usually opens around the third weekend in October and runs through the second weekend in January.
The man that owns some of the property that we have hunting rights on is in foreclosure right now and he may loose the land. My family has had hunting rights to his property for as long as I can remember, so I hope he finds a way to keep it. If not my dad is thinking about trying to buy some of it. Hope that don't make me sound like a vulture, I really hope his family gets to keep their land, it's been in their family for generations.

Either way we still have 40 acres and can probably find a place for ya.
Can't guarantee you'd get one but it'd be fun trying.
 ;)
