She's pro-gun and a lifetime member of the NRA. Makes it much easier for me to vote for McCain.

CLP and Big beat me to it. Or should I say 2 it... (Second amendment, get it…huh? (pun? BAd??))
Anyway it does make the lever throw to Mc. a bit easier for me at least.
I do hope it gives the hillary voters somewhere to go - or at least think about other than bHO

Glad the drive by media has already picked up that she is a LIFE TIME member of our N.R.A.

Politics is such a love/hate thing for me….. gad.

His team is showing some real brain matter, and I'm finally excited about something here.
They're showing something....and I hope thats just a banana in your pocket.   :P

I too think this choice is a good move. I hope the ultra-conservative right wing of the GOP will embrace it as much as they should.
McStain needs all the help he can get.
I'd say this gives the USA a real chance of staying the USA and not turning into the United Socialist States of America.

This ties in nicely with Hitlery's lukewarm 'support' - or lack thereof-  of BHussienO at the DNC jerkfest.

It's a GREAT move. Obama talks about change and picks one of the oldest good old boys in congress. McCain picks a newcomer, mother, Alaskan, all of that. Hillary voters have somewhere to go. It removes the bigotry argument. It is also historic to some degree. It also negates the republican= white guys argument (reverse racism).
Her lack of experience can be held up to Obama's GREATER lack of experience, plus she's only VP. She's a reformer, a mother of five (one kid with Downs syndrome), I've heard she's married to a native american, and she is tough- one journalist was quoted as saying that, "The political landscape is littered with the bodies of those who have crossed Palin". AND she's HOT! I love it. Oh yeah...life member of the NRA.

The only downside are the guys that won't vote for a woman, but those same guys probably wouldn't vote for a black guy either so that's a wash.
A brilliant stroke by McCain.

Hello hammer...welcome to the head of the nail. You got that one right.

Dumb move by Obama...countered by a smart, but calculated, risk by McCain.
We'll just have to wait 'til the spin cycle is done to see how the wash comes out.

Heck, I'd still have voted for McCain if he'd have picked a chimp.

^^ HA! ha ha

Listening to her speech live now.
She is a much better speaker than Mc - he's too wooden in speaking - she has a flow to her talking.

This is a great move by McCain. Most of this week, I was sickened at the fact that Romney was touted as the lead candidate for the VP spot. When I just found out it was Palin, I actually arm pumped - by myself.

I knew about some of her background, mostly when she was floated some months ago as a possibility. I like her for no other than reason than wussies don't last long in Alaska - it's tougher in Alaska! (thank you History Channel)   :D

Excellent pick, now I don't have to wear a clothespin to the polling place.

Great pick.
I think she will do fine and be a fine president if need be. But I want her as president of the Senate as soon as possible.
No doubt about it now. We have the right ticket for the 2A and everything else. ;D ;D :) :)
M'ette let's have your take!
Squiggy where are you?
