I have CNN on as I sit at the desk this morning, and am reaffirming my thoughts concerning the media - CNN, FOX, mainstream, internet wanna bes, etc.: First, lack of respect for anyone not on their side; Second, yelling and screaming is the way to "interview" and respond; Third, what is most important and must be done yesterday is what the media feels is most important (wag the dog); and Forth, the media has a very short attention span that focuses on what will sell and forgets yesterdays life and death until it serves their purpose.
They are going on and on about the Russian hacking ... For all the headlines I have seen concerning Russian hacking and influencing our election, it is not the polls that were found to be hacked. The CIA claims to have evidence that the RNC computers were hacked by the Russians. CNN is claiming that DJT threw the CIA "under the bus" and that the RNC is in denial, because their experts, their system, and contractors they hired have not found any evidence of hacking. Then, when they moved to the point that even though they would be outraged if a foreign government hacked the RNC computers, but asked for proof that any CIA claims of hacking actually influenced the outcome of the election. This request for proof that it influenced the outcome brought outrage that the RNC and DJT don't care or aren't concerned.
I know I am getting old, but I can still remember Jr. High and High School classes where we were taught critical thinking, reporting of news, and debating, and we were always taught to look at both sides, balance the best we can, and look at the big picture. Today, our media execs are highering near sighted people, who have thrown away their glasses, with very short attention spans, and very hot tempers.
What chance does a truly fair media outlet have in this nation, and where does one turn for reporting that does not require a full time job of research to get the truth.
All of this skips the fact that our nation has dumbed us down to the point we will believe facebook and twitter over the facts, but then again, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington both posted warnings about the internet the other day
