I was a radio operator in a headquarters platoon. The M60 gunner got hurt and they asked for a volunteer to be M60 gunner. I took that for a few months to get the radio off of my back. I was happy to get my radio back and drop the pig. My arse hole platoon sergeant made me turn in my sling when we were in the field one time.

I carried a radio, y cables hand mikes, crypro device times 3 and cables and a map and signal device and grease pencils and compass. I loved my job(sarcasm). Every stinking butter bar that wants to do danger area crossing for 8 hours in a day. I am up he sees me I am down. I am cussing in my head right now. At least I worked for a Company commander for a short time. I got pulled for S4 officer RTO. I did that for a month and the Battalion XO saw me and I got promoted to XO RTO driver best gig ever in the Army. The Battalion Command Sergeant Major was my new boss. Think of Sam Elliot off of We Were Soldiers.Old two time Vietnam vet. Mean but tough as nails.

Just found out today our firearms instructor has 2 sig 320's in for T&E. One in 9mm and the other is .45acp.
Will be doing semi-annual qualification at the end of this month.
I carry a Glock 21 for Duty and a Glock 17 some times depending on what I'm doing at the time.
I got to handle the 320's today and all I can say is , there is a tremor here in the dark side.
Not that I would give up on the Glocks, but these Sigs have got a lot going for them.
Looking forward to running a few mags on each one, trigger seems to be nice and crisp.

Ok now I'm kind dumbfounded that I shot a tighter group with the .45acp than I did with the 9mm,go figure. :o

Check out the loads of the two rounds.

.45ACP 230gr loads are subsonic and to achieve similar terminal performance 9mm will be loaded to a higher velocity which could cause "snappier" recoil and it's attendant accuracy concerns.

I would not mind having a 320 full size in my collection but there is a couple of shotguns and a new .22lr bolt action rifle on my hit list first.
I am to the point that I will not be wearing out any of the handguns that I own now. And it is about time to start passing a few down to the kids, of course maybe they will take a hint about birthday present or Christmas but I wont hold my breath.

Sold my S&W (American Outdoor Brands) stock this week.   A 4 year run netted 135% gain.  I knew they wouldn't win I should have followed my own advice.   Could have made more if I sold it last summer, but still not bad.    I bought it in part as a political statement, but owning AOB isn't near as neat as owning "S&W".
