You guys really shouldn't be having all this trouble with knowing when you're getting a USPS delivery. I just ordered a billet stainless steel magazine baseplate for my polished stainless steel CZ-75. I got a notice with a Tracking Number from USPS Priority Mail. I filled out an online form with my first name and E-Mail address, and they will send me E-Mail updates informing me location every step of the way, along with when to expect delivery. That's every bit as good as anything I get from either Fed Ex or UPS.
No Bill, we shouldn't be having all this trouble. That's why it pisses me off. I signed up for every email notification available from USPS. Monday they said where my package was leaving from. But Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday they only said it was in transit. The expected delivery day was Wednesday. They told me that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and even on Thursday. Then they said it was delayed, but didn't say how long, and never updated the delivery date. Friday they told me again that it's in transit, then said it's there and on the way to me. I must have had 2 dozen emails from them for this package, but still didn't have an updated delivery date until it was on the truck and headed to my neighborhood. That's nowhere near as good as UPS.
Now I'm signed up for Informed Delivery from the post office. As your mail is sorted it captures a black and white picture of each letter. Now get I emails telling me what should be in my mailbox that day. Yesterday I got one of the 4 things that I was supposed to get. I'm missing a credit card statement, plan information about my health insurance, and coupons that would probably save me at least a few bucks. Today I was supposed to get one more piece of mail from my health insurance provider, but I didn't get any mail at all. Just in the last 2 days I'm missing 3 very important letters, and some coupons. Now it thinks it's already Sunday and telling me I don't have any mail today.
