He'll it takes 3 days too make it next door too me.   Which is sad, because the local guys walks in the right direction, so he void out the stamp and drop it off, but nope, has too travel 30 miles and back.

I have 2 packages of books coming. UPS is handing them off to the USPS for final delivery. One arrived at Urbancrest,  OH last Friday. The other one got there Sunday. My expected delivery dates were Wednesday and Thursday. Neither one came today, but the first one made it to Allen Park, MI this afternoon. It took from the 26th to the 31st to move 188 miles. The other one hasn't made it from Ohio to Michigan yet.

I got one package today and I got an email this afternoon saying the other one was accepted at Allen Park, MI yesterday. No estimated delivery date but it's less than a 3 hour drive away.

Last week when I said my package is less than a 3 hour drive away, that's round trip. I looked at Google Maps today and it lists 3 routes from 72.8-80.3 miles. The time to drive from there, a little southwest of Detroit, to Flint is 1 hour 11 minutes-1 hour 15 minutes. My package has been there since January 31st. It should have been delivered Thursday, Friday at the latest, but still hasn't budged. I hate the postal service.

Tomorrow is the expected delivery date for a package that was shipped yesterday, but I'm not getting my hopes up. The smaller one that was shipped January 25th still hasn't made it. It's already been over a week and a half. I emailed Barnes & Noble and asked if I should be talking to the postal service about it or to them. It could be lost forever and need to be replaced.

Barnes & Noble sent me an email this morning offering to refund my money or ship me a replacement for the books I ordered, my choice. But I waited, and this afternoon I finally got the package that was shipped 2 weeks ago. It's hard to believe it took that long to get here from La Vergne, Tennessee, and a whole week to go the last 80 miles. It's just a bit less than 600 miles altogether.

The package that shipped Monday has been in transit to the post office here, with no updates other than that it's still in transit. There's no telling where it's at right now.

My PRIORITY MAIL 2-DAY package shipped on Monday got here Friday afternoon. More than 2 days, as always. The expected delivery date was Wednesday. I kept getting emails saying it was in transit but no location stated, just somewhere between the start and finish points. Then after being in transit Tuesday-Thursday they said it was delayed, but they didn't say for how long. The only good thing about it was that it got to the post office here early enough Friday morning to be delivered with the rest of the day's mail.

Now I have a package on the way coming from the post office by way of DHL ECOMMERCE, if they ever get it to the post office. I don't even know what it is but it's not anything I bought. It could be a product sample I'm getting for doing a survey, but so far the post office isn't saying who it is, only that it's coming from Elkridge, MD.

I was standing in line at the post office once and the guy in front of me was wanting to mail a next-day letter which was at a cost of $14. He asked the lady if she could give an estimate of what time the next day it would be delivered.
She said, "Oh, we can't possibly know that, and in fact can't really guarantee that it will get there in one to two days."
He was like, "Really? It's a 'next day air mail letter' and you can't guarantee it to get there tomorrow?"
She said, "That's correct."
He got his money and papers back and said he was heading to the UPS office ten miles away because he knew they guaranteed next-day letters.
I told him that was a wise move, and was probably the same cost.

Wonder if Trump appointed a successful business owner to run the place if it could be improved...seems like breaking the "entrenched" hierarchy has been working pretty good so far.

You guys really shouldn't be having all this trouble with knowing when you're getting a USPS delivery. I just ordered a billet stainless steel magazine baseplate for my polished stainless steel CZ-75. I got a notice with a Tracking Number from USPS Priority Mail. I filled out an online form with my first name and E-Mail address, and they will send me E-Mail updates informing me location every step of the way, along with when to expect delivery. That's every bit as good as anything I get from either Fed Ex or UPS.
