Does a Hersey Bar count??

God, I am addicted to these things!!!

Yeah, that counts. I'm addicted to chocolate too, but not Hershey's. Once I tasted really good chocolate I didn't much care for Hershey bars anymore, but I like the chocolate they use in Reese's peanut butter cups. When my dog was still alive, I'd eat the Reese's chocolate and give him the leftover peanut butter. If they made Reese's chocolate bars without peanut butter, I would buy them.

NOt a fan of horseradish.  Aarrrggghhhhh....say it ain't true.

It has its places, for sure. Polish sausage being one of them. It's good on ham and a couple of other meats too. One of my uncles told me how to tell if it was good horseradish or not -- open up the jar and take a good whiff. If it makes the top of your head itch, it's good horseradish! He was right, too. I had some beet horseradish before that was purple-red. It was milder but still cleared out the sinuses when you took a big snort of fumes. When my mom was a kid they ground their own horseradish. It sounded bad. I think I'd rather slice onions all day.

I had 2 Detroit style coneys, and 2 Flint style. The Detroit style coney sauce is runny like a chili dog. The Flint style is dry enough to not run off the ends, more highly seasoned, and to be honest, they tasted a lot better. Now I'm having a Jones Hatch Chile & Lime soda for dessert. Odd, but surprisingly delicious. A must try, in my opinion.

It hasn't been eaten yet, but coming soon:

Home from work, and wife isn't doing well. I have some thick cut pork loin chops that were brined for 9 hours and waiting for the grill, and I whipped up a scalped corn to go with it. Should be on the table in less than an hour. This will be followed by a coma and some good leftovers for work tomorrow.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

I'm wishing your wife the best of health Mike. There's nothing like a food coma and a good night's rest to make you feel better. And pork loin chops are a good place to start. :)

I'm dipping Dragon Sweet Chili Takis in chili cheese dip, and drinking a Cayman Jack Margarita. Of all the malt beverage "cocktail wannabes", this is one of the best I've tried so far. The dip is a can of chili with some hot sauce and chili powder added, and a bunch of Havarti cheese mixed in. Since Takis are rolled up, they don't hold as much dip as a flat chip, but I have enough cheese in the chili mixture to make it hang from the chip when I pick it up.

Beef kofta, chicken kofta, and chicken shish tawook skewers, with garlic sauce and pita bread. Followed by 6 stuffed grape leaves a bit later. I drank my last 2 Hatch chili sodas with my one extended meal today, and I'm drinking a Cayman Jack watermelon margarita now. I have a mango margarita in the fridge and that's the last of the variety 12-pack. I had a strawberry margarita yesterday after the regular one. The plain is the best IMO, and I'll get more when I see them on sale again. After these, it's just ice cold water and chai tea therest of the night.

They tore down the Sonic Drive-In and built a Chick-Fil-A in its place. Cars were lined up down the road, for what I heard was mediocre food. I decided to stop somewhere else on my way home from the dentist and it was my first time at a (Lebanese?) grill a few blocks from my house. The garlic sauce was like mayonnaise whipped up light, and had a mild flavor. I dipped my meats in it, then ate the pita bread that had all the drippings on it. There are lots of things on the menu that sound good, like 3 different chicken shawarma sandwiches, a beef shawarma sandwich, falafell, and fried kibbeh. I'm not sure if I want to try lamb chops or lamb shank. I only had lamb once and didn't like it, but I think that was at a casino buffet in Detroit. They have fried chicken too, but the charcoal grilled chicken sounds better to me. You can char-grill almost anything and it tastes better.

New York cheesecake ATM. On the way home from the doctor, I stopped at my favorite burger place and got 2 orders of fries. I ate one, then fried 2 6-ounce top sirloins with spicy Montreal steak seasoning and soul seasoning. Very well seared, and cooked medium. I ate one steak, then ate the other steak and order of fries. I have Key Lime pie in the fridge I'm about ready for, and 2 more steaks if I feel like eating that much. I'll probably just season them with salt, pepper and garlic, and try to cook them medium-rare. I didn't turn the heat down low enough after I got the first 2 well seared and seasoned. They went from very rare to medium faster than expected. The top sirloin is just below the tenderloin. It's not as tender as a filet mignon (from the small end of the tenderloin) but it's still a tasty lean cut that can be cooked several ways.

I just ate the Key lime pie. The only reason I can think of to visit Florida would be to get some Key lime pie in the Keys. There are a few places that specialize in it and claim to have the world's best.  I'm still kind of hungry and will probably cook a steak or two soon.

I have a beef tri-tip I need to roast, but have to go shopping first. I'm thinking small potatoes with rosemary would probably go good with it, and I have neither on hand.

Apple pastry for a light snack at lunch in prep for our favorite Mexican restaurant food for supper.

**EDIT**
Scratch the Mexican food for tonight... got too busy delivering cakes.....maybe tomorrow.
Having ham sammich and mac-n-cheese.

One slice of cheesecake left in the fridge, so the wife gets first shot at it.

I'm not much on the key lime pie as much as key lime cake.....  8)
