Pumpkin spice is way overdone, to be sure. Like pumpkin spice lattes that taste like anything but coffee. Then again, most coffee drinks don't taste anything like coffee. I like spice candies like gum drops, and cloves too, and that's a spice some people really hate. I wish Honeybaked made hard candies that taste like the glaze they put on their hams. I'd buy them all the time. I had a Chilies & Cherries in Dark Chocolate bar last week. It had Ancho chilies and Chipotle, so it was warm, not too hot, and was good. I quite often chew wintergreen leaves when my friends and I are out four-wheeling. When we stop for a pee break, I pluck some shiny green leaves elsewhere and chew them with my front teeth to break the surface. Contrary to what some people say, a variety of spices is the spice of life. They don't need to be completely overpowering the flavor of coffee and other things, but I do like masala chai tea.
I just had a 4 ounce New York cheesecake and 4 ounce Key lime pie for dessert, awhile after I ate a half pound cheeseburger with no bun, but plenty of Colby-Jack cheese, with a side of sweet and sour red cabbage. Breakfast and lunch were a chicken pasty with chicken gravy, and a beef pasty with beef gravy, respectively. Mmm, potatoey, root vegetable goodness. Beef pasties with ketchup are okay, but they're better with gravy.
