A whole bunch of hush puppies with jalapeno ketchup. I baked them too long and they were starting to blacken on the bottom, but they sure were crunchy.

A bag of Chicken Mini Egg Rolls. I didn't know they came with a bunch of sauce. I'll stick it in the fride for the next time I need some. I ate them with sweet and sour sauce and some tamari (Japanese, no wheat) soy sauce.

I'm finishing off a big plate full of Arby'a curly fries. I sprinkled Cajun seasoning and Frank's RedHot Buffalo Ranch seasoning on them. So they were triple-seasoned before I squirted Jalapeno ketchup on top. My lips and the outside of my mouth are burning worse than the inside, but they're good.

Mrs. Butterworth's original syrup, straight up.

Nacho M&M's. They're not nacho cheese flavor. They're plain milk chocolate flavor but, they're Nacho M&M's. They're mine. ;D You can get personalized M&M's online and I bought 3 little blue bags of them. I'm trying to save the other 2 bags for when I go up north or go to my friend's house. I doubt they ever had Nacho M&M's before, and don't know what they'll think about these. :D

Before this I had Limited Edition Toasty Holiday Peanut Chocolate Candy M&M's. I don't know what kind of spices and flavors were in them but they really hit the spot. I may buy more. They taste like maple and something else. Some people say it's the worst flavor they ever made, but other people like them so much it's their favorite flavor. The Crunchy Cookie M&M'S tasted kind of like miniature malted milk balls. They didn't have much chocolate and were really sweet. The only way I'll ever buy them again is if I plan on making cookies and putting them in. If you had Nestle Toll House cookies or another chocolate chip cookie recipe and put these in instead of chocolate chips, I think it would be fun to watch people's reactions when they expect all that chocolate flavor and it tastes like cookies instead. The White Chocolate Strawberries & Creme Valentines Day Candy is okay if you like white chocolate and strawberries. The M&M'S Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Pie flavor was bad. It was the only flavor that lasted more than a day. On the 3rd day I dumped the rest of them in the carafe when I made a pot of coffee. The sweet, spicy, chocolaty coffee was okay. It tasted better than the candy alone.

Been off a couple of weeks.... the wife's mom passed away (91 yrs old) last week and had fallen ill a few weeks before. She lives an hour away so we were driving quite a bit and consuming mostly fast food and snack (junk) food.
I don't know about other areas, but one tradition in the south (one that is dying out with each generation) is taking food to a family's home after a death so the family can meet and eat at a central location. Many churches also feed the family after the funeral as well, so we had quite a bit of 'funeral food' also.....fried chicken, bbq, ham, casseroles etc.

I was ready for some fried gizzards for lunch after church yesterday.

We took two weeks off from our Wednesday night supper at church and we'll get back on the horse this week with poppy seed chicken casserole, corn and green beans.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I'm sorry to hear about the mother-in-law, PegLeg. I haven't been to the store in a long time. I don't have much to eat but 5 pound bags of boneless wings I stocked up on when they were on sale. I'm eating some with buffalo ranch seasoning. Yesterday I ate some with toungue twister BBQ sauce, and before that ate some with all the sweet and sour sauce that came with the Chung's egg rolls I had before. A few days ago I had some with Cajun seasoning, and chili lime another time. Sometimes I mix Frank's Original RedHot seasoning with Cajun, or chili lime with buffalo ranch, etc. so I have several different flavors. It doesn't taste like SSDD yet.

Yesterday I ate something other than chicken chunks. I had a 10 ounce bag of Old Trapper beef jerky that it looks like should have been eaten by 07/2024. It was still sealed and when I opened the bag it smelled good. I think I threw away most of the last bag. I have some bad teeth that need to be pulled and I didn't want to suffer unnecessarily by eating that much jerky. So I simmered it in a pot of water for an hour. I poured out the water, which smelled like corned beef, and stirred in some Tongue Twister BBQ sauce and a few other condiments. I put most of it back in the bag and put it in the fridge, but what I ate tasted good. I'll probably eat it tomorrow.

So far today, I've had a bunch of appetizers and a bowl of Honey Walnut Shrimp with fried rice from Panda Express. I have Apple Pie Rolls for dessert later, and Firecracker Steak & Shrimp with chow mein for a late meal.
